I recently came across this book in a book fan page. The story and colors were so vibrant that I immediately asked If I could have a chance to review the book and share it with my readers. Lucky for me (and you) I was sent a copy of the book along with a book bag and Zwoosh! themed t-shirt for my daughter.
My 5 year old Isabella was immediately excited. For one because she loves getting surprises in the mail, and also because she is a bit of a book nut already. Of course she had to check it out right away!
She likes the Moon men, I think that is partly because they are on her shirt. I keep trying to tell her they are moon men but she wont let go of the idea that they are froggies, so I just let her believe that. After-all, that is what stories are for, is stirring the imagination.
I love how the book has so many bright colors and differant on each page, there were plenty of opportunities for identifying colors, making sound effects and even counting. The book didn’t ask those questions, I just always try to incorporate some learning and involvement when I am reading stories. It will be a good opportunity to remind her to imagine her adventure next time she says she can’t sleep.
and obviously we cant take pictures without turning it into a photo shoot 🙂
